- Where are you located?
- I’m based in Rock Island, TN, and serve Nashville, TN and the surrounding Middle Tennessee area. For sessions outside of Middle Tennessee, I’m available for out-of-state travel as well.
- How do I schedule my session?
- Email me and we’ll coordinate a suitable time and date, and explore location choices that align with your vision for the session.
- How long are sessions?
- Family, maternity, children/teen, couples + engagement, pet portraits, dance photography and headshot sessions are 1 hour and up to 3 hours depending on the collection.
- What’s included?
- All collections include retouched digital images from each session, delivered via a private online gallery. Every session begins with a pre-session consultation to determine style, props, wardrobe and locations.
- How long until we get our pictures?
- Proof galleries go out within 1–2 weeks after your shoot. Finished galleries go out within 10 days from the time you have chosen your favorites from your proof gallery.
- What time of day is best for outdoor sessions?
- Early morning after sunrise or before sunset, when we get the gorgeous golden glow. If those times don’t work for your schedule, I can make your images look amazing at other times as well.
- What if there is inclement weather?
- If the weather looks ominous, we will reschedule (unless you are up for an exciting session... I always am!). Cloudy days can make for incredible images because there are no harsh shadows.
- What should we wear?
- A variety of different colors, or keeping it very simple with neutral earth tones. Please contact me first to discuss what you and your family will be wearing. For maternity, something fitted without too many patterns; I also provide maternity gowns.
- What about hair & make-up?
- Hair and make-up is available with our make-up artist to create a professional and beautiful look.
- Will my photos be retouched?
- Yes. Standard editing includes removing stray hairs, skin airbrushing to remove blemishes, softening of wrinkles, and exposure and color adjustments. I strive to keep editing natural, and I’m happy to do less if you prefer.
- Why print through a professional lab?
- When I edit your images, I embed color data into the file that a professional print lab with advanced equipment can read, so your prints come out exactly as we see them on screen.
